About FDDI (Footwear Design & Development Institute)


Footwear Design & Development Institute commonly known, as "FDDI" is the leading Institute in India for Infrastructure Development for the footwear industry & Human Resource Development. FDDI was set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India with an objective to train the professional manpower for the industry. The institute conducts wide range of long term & short term

•      The International Testing Centers Laboratory of FDDI is approved by BIS, General Motors.

A Major Bonding with Mewar University

Mewar University is an autonomous body promulgated by the Government of Rajasthan through Act No. 4 of 2009, passed by Rajasthan Assembly. The university id further approved by the UGC u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act  1956, with the right to confer degree u/s 22(l) of the UGC Act.

Objectives

To meet the given objectives Mewar University has collaborated with reputed government & private bodies like FDDI, MSME, ITDC, ATDC, SIEMENS, ISLE-LET(UK).

The group, continuing with its mission to provide higher and technical education to a larger section of people, has touched a new height by promoting and sponsoring Mewar University. The promoting body, with their honest efforts and unstinting dedication, has the conviction to build a strong partnership with the government of Rajasthan.

Clubs and Other Facilities

FDDI at Chennai offers state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students. Air-conditioned classrooms fitted with high-resolutions projectors offer interactive learning sessions. The Library is stuffed with books on topics ranging from academic to non-academic literary interests. The computer facility and respective departments are graced with imported machinery which the industry recommends and appreciates.

The extra-curricular activities at FDDI, Chennai have also been taken up seriously so as to contribute in the all round development of the students. Clubs have been active in Cultural, sports and environmental segment and students are motivated to participate and perform in the auditorium which is termed as one of the most beautiful in the city of Chennai.
